López emphasized the importance of this measure, stating, "We often receive calls from a mobile number, thinking it’s a friend or family member, only to discover it’s a salesperson or a con artist. This will now be banned."

The new law includes a robust enforcement mechanism. Companies that fail to comply with these regulations will face significant penalties. Consumers will also have the option to report any misuse to the Telecommunications Consumer Protection Office, ensuring that violators are held accountable.
