On January 14, 2020, a devastating chemical plant explosion rocked the city of Tarragona, Spain, leaving a trail of destruction and loss in its wake. The Explosion and Immediate Aftermath
The explosion occurred at the IQOXE chemical plant in the La Canonja industrial area of Tarragona. The blast, which happened around 6:40 PM, was so powerful that it was felt miles away, causing widespread panic and damage to nearby homes and businesses. Three people lost their lives in the disaster: two workers at the plant and a firefighter who was part of the emergency response team.
