Objective and Scope
The primary objective of the Plan de Incendios Forestales de Cantabria is to reduce the ecological, economic, and social damages caused by forest fires. The plan aims to increase the percentage of fires that are contained at the initial stage, known as "conato," above the average of 27.6% seen in recent years[4][5].
