Improved Pedestrian Safety in Trasmiera: New Crosswalks and Traffic Lights Installed
In a significant move to enhance pedestrian safety, the Ministry of Development (Fomento) has initiated the installation of elevated pedestrian crosswalks and traffic lights on major roads that traverse the municipality of Trasmiera in the Cantabria region of Spain.
Enhanced Safety Measures

The elevated crosswalks, also known as speed tables or speed humps, are intended to slow down vehicle traffic, ensuring drivers are more cautious when approaching pedestrian crossings. Additionally, the installation of traffic lights at key intersections will provide clear signals for both drivers and pedestrians, minimizing confusion and potential hazards.
