US and International Community Condemn Attack on UNIFIL Convoy in Beirut

The Attack
The UNIFIL convoy, which was transporting peacekeepers to the airport, was confronted by protesters who set one of the vehicles on fire. The attack resulted in multiple injuries, including a senior UN peacekeeper, the outgoing Deputy Force Commander of UNIFIL, who was returning home after completing his mission.
